YKP Connect: Special March Edition

Happy Women's History Month! ✨

🌸 March Momentum: Meaning, Movement, & Milestones

March arrives with a spirit of momentum — a month rooted in honoring the women who have shaped history, challenged systems, expanded possibility, and pushed society forward with brilliance, courage, and resilience. Women’s History Month is not just a celebration of the past; it’s a recognition of the women leading, creating, building, and transforming our world today.

From boardrooms to classrooms, from labs to legislatures, from community organizing to creative innovation — women continue to redefine what leadership looks like. This month, we honor their stories, uplift their voices, and recommit to building spaces where women’s contributions are recognized, valued, and amplified.

And as we celebrate, we also care for the whole person. That’s why this month includes a special Women’s Health Corner, spotlighting wellness topics that matter deeply to women in our community.

Let’s step into March with intention, gratitude, and momentum.

Endometriosis affects millions of women, often going undiagnosed for years.

Key signs to know:

  • Chronic pelvic pain

  • Painful periods

  • Pain during intercourse

  • Fertility challenges

Early evaluation and advocacy matter — your pain is real, and support exists.

🥗 National Nutrition Month

This month encourages building sustainable, nourishing habits:

  • Prioritize whole foods

  • Stay hydrated

  • Incorporate iron‑rich and calcium‑supportive foods

  • Explore balanced meal planning

Small shifts can create long‑term wellness.

🩺 Preventive Care Matters

Women’s preventive health includes:

  • Regular checkups

  • Cervical cancer screenings

  • Breast health awareness

  • Understanding family medical history

Knowledge is power — and prevention is protection. Explore more here.

As we close this month’s issue, we carry forward the truth that Black history is not confined to February—it’s a living legacy that shapes every day that follows. The stories we uplift, the voices we amplify, and the commitments we honor this month become the blueprint for how we show up the rest of the year. May we continue to learn with intention, celebrate with depth, and act with purpose. The work doesn’t end here; it evolves with us. And together, we move into the next chapter with gratitude for the past and determination for the future.

Forward Together🫡

Thank you for continuing to grow with us into 2026. Your energy, your presence, and your commitment to community make YKP Connect what it is. We’re excited for everything this year will bring — and we’re honored to walk alongside you.
