Now-or-Never November: The Donation Drive Series

This November, we’re proving that now-or-never isn’t just a phrase—it’s a call to action. YKP Connect is hosting its Teachers Donation Drive 2025 to support newly arrived educators and families across Baltimore City and nearby communities with winter essentials, food, and supplies. So let’s rise together for our teachers and community.
Why It Matters?🤔
Teachers are pillars of our community, and many are facing challenges this season. Your donations—whether coats, blankets, non-perishable food, or educational supplies—help ensure they feel supported and equipped to thrive.
So here’s what you need to know: Dates and Times!
We are going to have the donation drive happen in 2 parts.
Part I: Collection and Drop-Off Periods.
On both November 16th and November 23rd, donations will be dropped at designated locations and times— and online!
Tumaini Baptist Church
Tumaini will be accepting donations on both days from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m
AfriThrive
AfriThrive will be accepting donations on both days from 12 noon to 5:00 p.m.
Online Contributions
Now we know, some folks may not be able to come to the physical drop-off locations and donate items— and that’s okay! WE GOT YOU COVERED!
There’s the option of doing it online! We have a well curated list available through Amazon. Whether you’re near or far, there’s a way of getting it done! (can’t forget that theme!)
P.S. Here’s your sign to check out our newsletters! Check out our November issue here and make sure to join our email list!

Part II: Donation Drive Day.
This will be on November 30th at 2750 Rogers Ave, Ellicott City, MD 21043 We want to spread the thanksgiving spirit and give to our educators who need the help.
Join us, in person, as we distribute the collected items, connect as a community and enjoy warm refreshments together!
Planning to donate then? No Problem! You can also bring your items on Drive Day and we can get it to someone who needs it!

So here’s what you need to know: Items to Donate!
So now you know the HOW, the WHEN and WHERE— let’s get to the what.
